Enjoy a variety of open air Yoga classes and celebrate spring with us!
We invite you to celebrate the opening of the outdoor Yoga season with a variety of yoga practices in Parque Eduardo VII. Enjoy great views over the city surrounded by trees and immerse yourself into a great programme that prepares you for the warmer months ahead. We will start with a dynamic yoga class with Sara, followed by gentle Qui Gong and Yin Yoga with Johanna and finishing with a Breathing practice and Relaxation with Martina. There will be an option to bring your own lunch and enjoy a drink afterwards together.
Come alone or bring a friend, everybody is welcome! Classes are held in English & Portuguese.

10:30 - 11:05 - Precision & Flow Yoga with Sara
We will start our day with a nice flow, raising the heat a little, coordinating the breath with the movement, and cultivating a healthy blood flow. During the practice we create space in our body and explore our flexibility so that we can be available and open for new tasks and life opportunities with more ease and joy. We reconnect and reunite, practising to love our body.
11.10-11.45 - Qi Gong & Yin Yoga with Johanna
We continue with an easy but powerful qui gong flow to boost our immune system and connect breath with movement, before we find stillness with gently held Yin Yoga positions. As you relax into those positions close to the ground you are invited to extend your breath to get into a peaceful state of mind. This class will give you the opportunity to slow down and observe sensations and emotions as you release tension that is held in the connective tissues (fascia).
11:50 - 12:25 - Breathing Meditation with Martina
Martina will guide a breathing meditation to awaken more energy in your body as well as to clear any stagnation or blockages you might be holding. You will explore the power of your breath in combination with spinal movement and then be guided into stillness to observe any sensations and aliveness of your body.
12:25 - 13:00h - Closing and Optional Lunch
After this practise we would like to close the programme by taking a moment to reflect, give us feedback or share your experience. Fresh homemade empanadas can be preordered from Cafe Tati when you sign up and you can get a refreshing drink at This is Lisbon Hostel. You can also bring your own lunch and enjoy your meal on the terrace and connect to your fellow practitioners and teachers in a nice conversation. We are looking forward to seeing you!

- Please wear a mask when you enter the hostel – it is obligatory to use a mask indoors. Once you are on your mat you can take it off.
- When on the terrace keep 2 meters away from other people – this is a recommended safety distance
- Please bring your own mat and some water (you can also purchase drinks at This is Lisbon Hostel) / There is water, juice, coffee and tea on offer

Booking terms
We would love to see you joining us for the Rooftop Yoga Festival. To help us organise this event, we ask that you please have a look at the following terms and conditions. 1) In order to secure your place, the full fee is payable in advance. Payments are non-refundable. Spaces are strictly limited to 15 participants. 2) We reserve the right to change your sessions in the event of a tutor cancellation or bad weather - which is beyond our control (due to illness or other personal reasons). 3) Please bring your own mat. You will be solely responsible for your own belongings at the event. 4) You are obliged to advise the tutors of your sessions of any health issues or injuries which may affect your practice. Please take responsibility for your own health. |

How to find this is Lisbon HOSTEL
Address: Rua da Costa do Castelo 63, 1100-335 Lisboa
Costa do Castelo is just outside the wall of Saint George Castle, at a walking distance from Rossio Metro station. Exit the Metro station at PRAÇA DA FIGUEIRA, follow the tram rails along RUA DOS FANQUEIROS until number 170, take the free elevator to the castle (open 9am to 9pm), exit the building, turn left and cross the street. You will see a new white building with a ‘Pingo Doce’ Supermarket; inside there is another elevator (operates 24 hours) that takes you straight to the street of This Is Lisbon. Go left on COSTA DO CASTELO and after 400m, you see This Is Lisbon on your left.
